How can i see my times every 100m in swimming pool with the app when i swim, for example, 1000m ?

Hi, i have a garmin fenix 6 pro and i can't see my stats as i wish.

For example, i swim 1000m in a row without rest in a 50 meters swimming pool. On the app i can only see my total time, my average pace on 100m and on the website my time every 50m but not on 100m.

I would like to see, for example :

1st 100m 1'57

2nd 100m : 1'50

...

How can i see this on my app or on the website garmin connect ? It's not possible to create auto lap every 100m ?

Thank you in advance for answers and sorry for my poor english, i'm french.

  • You can create an alert to let you know that you swam another 4 pool lengths, for example, but a) I have no idea what it actually shows because I don’t look at the screen, I just feel the vibration and b) it alerts me before I complete the last lengths. I have mine set for 19 lengths and what I complete the 18th and make a tumble turn, it vibrates in a few seconds after that, when I’m already a few meters from the wall. Works well for my purpose (which is to count 1900 and 3800 m) but might be useless for yours.

  • Can I suggest you:

    1. Search the forum as there a several helpful threads on that exact topic.
    2. Scan through the swimming apps, perhaps one of those will help you.
  • As noted read the forum but also read the manual.

But a hint for you - turn off the 100m alert and set a 100m auto lap.

  • Thanks all for your answers. I saw that i can configurate a training plan with x 100m but, Philips, unless i'm misstaken, autolap doesn't work with swimming pool activities ? And the alert solution does not show me my time every 100m on the website or the app, isn't it ? I can see my times with the lenght of the swimming pool on the website unfortunately.

All answers that i saw on the forums are more than a year old, so i hope a new solution has appeared.

I ask this question because my old apple watch show me easily and automatically my time every 100m or 50m as i wish without any configuration.

Thank you in advance for your sympathy

  • autolap doesn't work with swimming pool activities

Oops! You’re absolutely correct. No new solution for you. Best you can do is as you say a custom workout with 100m intervals.

Next thing is to submit your request as a suggestion to Garmin. They do occasionally take up suggestions.

  • Hi,

i have seen this thread, and i have the same "problem" (using Garmin 6 Pro).

i cannot set an auto lap (the need is 250 meters in my case),

the only solution i use is to manually press (twice !) start/stop after the alert (which i can set).

in my previous VivoActive 3 i could set the autolap at any distance.

    have you found a solution?

  • Anyone know if the most recent update that happened to the Fenix 6 in tandem with the release of the Fenix 7 fixed this concern? I haven't had my 6 for very long but can't seem to figure out how to get my splits at the 100M mark of a 1000 free swim. The feedback at 50M only is too busy.  Thanks!

  • Same here man.  I just went from apple watch to garmin epix 2 and was looking to see what my splits were.  looks like garmin is not on that level yet for showing data.  rip.

  • Hola. En mi Fénix 6 pro no funciona la alerta por vibración, tengo alerta por distancia, 16 largos, y cuando empiezo el último largo no vibra. Antes tenía un Fenix 5 y si funcionaba. Alguna solución?. Gracias.

  • Ok, I see everyone commenting with Fenix. I just got my first garmin, a little over a month ago. It's a Forerunner 945. After a few 750m tests, I wondered about my splits. I would expect that one of the most  accurate distance tracking open water swim watches out there, give you this data. I have not checked my previous swims. But with yesterdays settings, which was just alerts every 4 lengths in a 25m, and pacing 2:00/100m (just verified there is no auto-lap available), I am able to see my splits every 25m on the garmin web connect. When I open the activity, I scroll all way down past graphs, select interval tab, choose graphical tab.

On the mobile app, click on pace graph (rotate phone), hold on the desired split and you can see pace/100m/elpased time. It will actually lock to each length. I see most posts are 2 years old and hesitated to reply. But I saw some somewhat more recent, so went ahead. I would be quite frustrating not to have this data, as I would like to know how I'm pacing myself during my activity, so I know how to pace myself next time around, and I sure don't want to be having to ruin my momentum/streamline of the wall, in order to glance and see how I'm doing.
