  • Yes I have.... and there is no option to turn the back-light off pressing for the carousel wheel of widgets.... It will always come on... This in my opinion is a regression if one is trying not to use the back-light at all... The option is gone.....I'd like the option back... to turn the back-light off fully and completely again..

even with power mode battery saver turned on... and back-light turned off.... It will still come on holding for the carousel wheel.

  • My HR graph has stopped updating on the watch since updating.

  • I had an interesting issue today that I've never had before. All 3 of my sensors (Stryd, Tempe, and HRM-Pro) were constantly disconnecting and reconnecting during the entire activity duration. By constantly, I mean every couple seconds. I know it wasn't sensor issues, because the Stryd was working fine on my phone app, and my HRM-Pro was working fine on the treadmill display. The Stryd and HRM-Pro are also quite new with full batteries. Normally, all of my sensors never get disconnected even once during an activity. All 3 sensors connected to watch via ANT+, with the HRM-Pro and Stryd connecting to phone/treadmill via BLE.

The whole entire run, my watch was buzzing constantly to tell me it was disconnecting and reconnecting with sensors, it was extremely distracting and my data at the end was wrong as a result of the intermittent connections. I didn't have this issue for the first few runs after installing 16.00. For some reason links aren't working on the forums right now or I'd post the activity for others to see.

I did a soft reboot tonight, I'm hoping it was just a temporary glitch that will work itself out next time I run.

  • Seems to have sorted itself overnight. Now showing the correct 4 hour data.

  • I noticed last night that when the watch goes into battery saver mode at night automatically, the HR sensor went into it's "high" sensitivity mode.

That is, the green lights were on constantly.  I fixed it by pressing the activity button and then exiting out.

I have noticed the watch seeming to lose more battery overnight when it goes into auto-battery saver mode.

Can anyone else see if this can produce this?

  • Same here - just the running HRM (red cap). Always reconnects and it seems the HR is much higher than before.

  • Interesting, I'll check mine tonight if I'm able to stay up late enough

Mine also seems to be doing this. I charged my 6X to 100% shortly before bed last night, and when I woke up it was 98%. Normally it would be 99% or 100% in the morning after I charged it the night before.

The green HR light was also lit solid when I pulled it up to look, during my sleep window while it was in battery saver mode. That may or may not be related, but it seems we share that symptom.

It's not a huge deal, but if battery saver mode isn't "saving the battery" anymore, then I'll just go back to leaving it in normal power mode 24/7.

  • I really don't get Garmin Explore. All I need is ability to create courses, and Garmin Explore can't do that. It can load a GPX file, but it can't be used to create a course following roads and trails.

  • @C.sco and @muppetman - I am still on 15.71 beta and I can confirm that the green LEDs do flash during power save in sleep periods and are NOT solidly green.

So you have a regression between 15.71 b and 16.00 RC
