  • even worse than usual.

Ok, I used the trail run activity with this version and didn't noticed any difference with tbt.

  • Not a big deal, but battery saving mode seems to drain battery more than it should on my side, since 15.20.
It automatically triggers from 23:00 to 7:00 am, and I loose approx 2%  over night (quite the same as normal usage) while estimated full battery life is 57 days - which for 9 hours should be 0,7.
No third party widget or watch face. All native software. Anyone else noticed this ?

  • I haven't checked, I'll look at mine tonight. Are you going off a battery monitoring widget, or just the Garmin battery % shown on the watchface or widget wheel? Because the factory battery % only shows whole percent, so it's a rounded number. So possibly the battery only actually drained 1.1% or so, but because of rounding, the % shown dropped by 2%.

  • Hello what kind of parameters have you on your watch? Correction at the beginning or correction during activity?

I also had a difference of 20 meters on my high point during my activity, yesterday.

  • After updated to V16.00, I had two test runs done in a pretty flat park, both elevation graphs looked weird (as others described like moving in an elevator...). Then I found that altimeter was set to use the continuous correction (I actually never paid attention to this setting in the past). When reviewing the graphs, it feels like the watch was really trying HARD to adjust the altemeter reading intermittently, but with bad data. There was a point, my elevation was shooting up 6 meter instantaneously for no reason, then dive back down to the original level after half a minutes.  The overall elevation gain was WAY off because of this.

Last night I downgraded back to V15.20 and had two walking sessions along the same path, one with continuous correction, the other with "at the start". The "at the start" one performed the best, the continuous mode at V15.20 performed slightly worse (just minor drifting, no elevator effect), but no where near as bad as the same setting  with V16.00.

The watch was set to use GPS only, 1 sec reading, worn in the inner wrist. My experience suggests that wearing on the outer wrist makes the GPS track much worse, and GLONAS makes it worse too.

I had a $200 Coros Pace 2 last months for head-to-head comparison, and it beats Fenix 6X on GPS accuracy, night and day difference. So whoever tells you watch GPS can't be made accurate, is full of it....

  • I use a small battery widget called "battery monitor" so I can check battery level at 0,1% close. So the value is not rounded. But thanks :) I tried soft reset and hard reset, but drain is still the same (although far from dramatic). Maybe it's normal behaviour...

  • Backlight settings for Do not Disturb mode?

  • Maybe check your battery saver settings - it's possible that Phone, wifi, and/or backlight aren't turning off with the settings you have. Also, you have it configured to use the battery saver watchface, rather than your normal watchface, while in battery saver mode, correct?

  • Is it just me or is the "device usage" widget gone after booting up with 16.00 :o ?

  • Backlight settings for Do not Disturb mode?

    Is it faulty ?
