Fenix 6 Sapphire Alarm not working

After using the Fenix 3 sapphire for approximately 3 years without issue I upgraded to a Fenix 6X Sapphire.

Sadly the alarm doesnt always work, some days it does and some days it doesn't. I have searched the forums and others have had this same problem. It seems like such a basic function but Garmin havent sorted it? Anyone found a workaround or is there a fix I'm missing.

The alarm is one of the functions I use daily so pretty pissed off that this basic function issue doesnt appear to have been addressed in one of the updates.

Any help appreciated - going to raise a customer complaint just now. I dont really want to return the watch unless I know a replacement will sort it. My watch is probably around 30 days old now.

I have not seen an issue with the alarm(s) on my 6 Sapphire. Are you sure you have the repeat setting(s) correct? Weekdays vs. Weekends vs. specific day(s) of the week? Garmin Connect web or app allows you to easily see your alarm(s) settings.

Thanks for your reply. I am sure all the settings are correct. I spent a bit of time yesterday with the chat and have disabled both "Do Not Disturb" and "Do Not Disturb During Sleep" modes. It worked this morning so I will monitor it going forward and hopefully there was a conflict here which is now resolved - as its an intermittent fault its difficult to conclude.

Alarms work through DND settings. My DND is active during sleep (21:30 to 0600). Often have alarms set to go off before 0600 and they do.

Obvious statement to make but the Fenix 6 is not a Fenix 3 and things might be set differently. Might pay to check the manual to ensure you are setting the alarms on your Fenix 6 correctly,

I have two alarms set on my F6 that are always on - one to wake me up on weekdays and another to wake me up on weekends. I have had it happen a few times at most in the past year since I had the watch where the appropriate morning alarm did not go off. Just anecdotally, it seems to have happened at a time when other things on the watch were a bit wonky such as stress not reading right, and it was always fixed with a hard restart (the one where you hold the top left button for about 20 seconds until the watch shuts off and you don’t lose any settings when it restarts).

I have never had it happen when I set a non-repeating alarm, so if I need to be up very urgently at a specific time I will set a separate alarm for it (usually to catch a flight) and have never had an issue with that.

Like I said, it has only happened a few times at most in the past year and I cannot recall the last time it happened so I would say at least a few months ago. It may have even been fixed in a firmware update already - are you running the latest released firmware?

Edited to add: I added “at most” to the note about it happening a few times because I can’t remember if it was always on my F6 or one or two times it may have been on my FR945. Sorry for any confusion!

I have the same problem, had a 3Hr for years and no problems, but now with the 6X the alarms doesn’t work. Tried it on all ways and even in the middle of the day, but no results. Did anyone found a solution yet?
