Hi,
Just bought a Fenix 6S Sapphire.
No matter what I do, I simply can't get it to register my pulse or the steps I take. It doesn't matter if it's just in watch mode or during an activity. Even going into the HR widget and using the option to send HR data, I can see the lights underneath aren't even turning on. At one point it was stuck at "62" for some reason, but that has also disappeared. It simply shows two horizontal lines.
Garmin Express tells me that it is fully updated. I tried restarting it, removing the watch from Garmin Connect and reinstalling the app. I've used Garmin Express to synchronize and update it as well. There's one odd thing, though: Every time I connect the watch to Garmin Express and then disconnect it, the watch says there's an update (install time of 1 min.). I tell it to install it, and it seems to install it and restart, but if I connect it to Garmin Express and disconnect it again, it shows up with the (seemingly) same update that needs to be installed. If I just restart the watch, it doesn't mention the update.
The steps part I don't get at all. It's not that it won't sync, the number next to the footprints just keep showing a round 0.
Has anyone had similar problems? It's quite simply driving me nuts, and I've been postponing my run for over two hours now since I can't get it to work.
Edit: I was very excited for a few minutes, as it seemed it had installed the sensor update and thus the heart rate and step counter was working! Going into the About menu showed that the sensor update version ("Sensor Hub") was 8.0.0 (IIRC). Now, however, it says 0.00 again. I have no idea why. Maybe because of Wi-Fi automatically "de-updating" it? I have tried turning it off, hoping that I can get the correct version of Sensor Hub to install again...
