Garmin Fenix 6X Pro Heart Rate not working

Hi all,

Can anyone help!

Noticed a few days ago that my wrist heart rate sensor isn't working. I've installed the latest software update and nothing has happened. Has anyone else had similar issues? The Baro, Alt and H / L are also not updating.

Chances are this will be a quick fix but I've currently tired everything, including a full system reset on the watch and nothing has helped.

If you look at the Sensor software version, does it report 8.00 or something else? It sounds like your sensor FW hasn't updated properly.

It doesn't look like anything based on the attached image. Maybe the latest update has kicked the sensor out? Thanks!

Yea, so if Sensor Hub has gone to 0.00 is means there's a problem with Sensor Hub.

Try and reinstall the latest version of the software using Garmin Webupdater.

If that doesn't work, then you'll need to get your F6X replaced sadly

That is what I would suggest. I have done exactly that to fix a sensor firmware file in the past. The Sensor firmware in the Beta is exactly the same as the one in 15.20.

Don't install the whole beta firmware package - just take the file from the Sensor firmware folder, drop it into the RemoteSW folder on your watch, then unplug and let it install.

I just had this same problem. Restarting the watch did not fix it.

I am sorry to hear you are experiencing a heart rate sensor failure. For this, I would recommend trying the following troubleshooting step:

Ensure the HR sensor is enabled in the watch menu. Menu, Sensors and Accessories, Wrist HR. You can also try toggling this off, then on again.
I would also recommend a hard reset. For this, hold the Light button until the watch shuts off, as opposed to selecting power off. Then power this on again.
Check for the sensor software versions in the watch menu: Menu, System, About, Scroll down. Look for the Sensor Hub, WHR, and BMX versions. If any of these show as 0.00 the sw needs to be reinstalled using Garmin Express.

Download and launch Garmin Express http://software.garmin.com/en-US/express.html
Connect the device with the USB cable
Click + to add a new device
Once found sign into the Garmin connect account
Register device if needed
If software update is found, click install
Select Tools and Content
Select the Utilities tab
Select Additional Updates
If the sensor versions are available to install, do this
Disconnect the device and power on to complete

If the sensor is still not responding, you can also try a factory reset with these steps:

If you have tried the steps above, and are still not able to use the wrist HR, I would recommend contact Garmin Product Support, as the device may need to be replaced.
