I have, waiting to hear from someone.

Poor hygiene is usually the cause. You’re wearing a watch that needs to be tighter to the wrist than you are probably used to, which…
Yes - this happened to both me and my wife. We ended up replacing the band. To be fair, I think many silicone bands will do this ... silicone allergies are rare but I think they say it has something to do with debris and skin oils. I now use a Hookstrap from Nick Manley designs and love it.
Thanks, my issue seems to be with the back of the watch itself vs the wrist band. I should have been more specific. i ma now seeing several pictures of writs here that look like the top of my wrist. It appears to be the HR monitor that's doing it. hope i don't have to turn that off, i love that feature.
Try disabling the pulse ox sensor if it is enabled. I felt my skin getting warm with that enabled.

Poor hygiene is usually the cause. You’re wearing a watch that needs to be tighter to the wrist than you are probably used to, which prevents the skin from breathing. The HR sensors are housed in a raised portion of the back of the watch that is usually pushed into the skin. If you do not clean and dry the watch after every use then all sorts of grot and bacteria will build up and eventually irritate the skin.
The simple solution is to clean and dry after every use and perhaps leave it off for a few minutes at regular intervals to allow the skin to breath. Just because you can wear the watch 24/7 doesn’t mean you should. A few small breaks will not adversely affect the data.
There is of course the possibility that you have an allergy to the watch or strap materials or one that has developed over time from use.

I do that and will continue to. Good insight, thanks.
thanks, me too.
Hi there, did your situation improve? I am having the same problem on both of my wrists now, but I don’t think that it is hygiene related. I used to have a vivo active 3 and used to wear it tight, never had any issues like this, except that the silicone band loop was causing rash, but when I removed it the issue went away. (It was definitely the band loop). Now with my fenix 6s pro I am having an issue with the hr monitor part. I think this is also made of some sort of polymeric material and it just causes a rash. Shame it is not gorilla Glas there too, I am sure then there would be no issue.
To me this appears more like a design issue Garmin may not be aware, as I have seen many complaining about this issue.
Again I am sceptical about the hygiene argument as I used to have other non-fitness watches with leather strap and metallic backs, during summer in Spain, all sweaty and everything, never had a rash, yet with Garmin suddenly I am now not washing my hands/arms enough? Not plausible...
