Under the Navigate app, "around me" and "POI" are missing - Did I do something wrong ?

I have the Garmin Fenix 6 Pro Solar edition - You can see in videos such as these :https://youtu.be/_ZqHknzzqPI?t=37 that the Navigate offers POI or Around me options.

Mine does not offer such options and I am wondering why. Is there some pre-requisite thing I need to do ? Some calibration ? Some loading of a local map ?

If so, could you point me through what is needed please

There are there for me. Did you replace the maps or added some ? I would make sure you updated ALL software and maps using Garmin Connect Express (the computer app, NOT the phone app since that one does not update everything) before investigating this. Also make sure you didn't turn off the default maps.

Hello, thank you for your answer.

I have not replaced the maps or added any that I know of. I believe all my software is up to date as per the connect app (PC) that shows it as being the 13.30 software version.

How can I check this and/or update all software ?

How do I turn on default maps (or turn them off for that matter, I do not find this anywhere under Connect app on PC or on the device)

That being said 13.30 was a non-pro version only FW and if your watch is not pro, it does not have routing and it is likely the options you are looking for are not available to your. Alternatively you have installed 13.30 on a pro watch while if I recall there was a big warning telling this was a NOT-pro only FW. If that is the case you may have to wait for the next proper Pro release to get an update and hope the pro features will come back to your watch.

Or install the latest 15.01 beta firmware for your solar pro.

I didn't suggest it because it is buggy and the proper release should come soon but yes sure that should do it as well. So if willing to go beta put 15.01 and if you rather not deal with a Beta then wait for the official release which should come shortly since there has been several Beta releases already.

Is it more buggy than release version for you?

For me and my usecase of the watch, it works plenty fine

This probably makes sense then ! I assumed all solar were also pro, did not realize there was a pro and non-pro version of solar ! Thanks !

You got that wrong. All solar are pro. But 13.30 was for non-pro only.
