Ive just got a 6X Pro and played a golf game. I’ve switched from 5X and have used golf app for about 2 years so comfortable with app. 6X has some extra features but ok.
All my settings in 6X for Scoring, Stats tracking, RecordActivity etc are On.
Problem that I have logged with Garmin is that shots are not being recorded in golf app and all that appears in golf app is the hole scores and putts. No hole by hole shot tracking. It does appear to be shot tracking and scoring not working (they are On).
Today, I tried ‘measure shot’, which didn’t work. Then I found ‘Add Shot’ as a sub-menu to ‘measure shot’. I was able to get 6X to record shots manually as a work around and appear on the scorecard. ‘Add Shot’ is not in the manual or Garmin literature from my searches.
I’m out tomorrow with scoring set to ‘always ask’ to see if that helps.
Garmin has escalated the issue and raised a case. If anybody is having this problem could you let me know please.
EDIT 10 October 2022: The problem was solved by wearing Fenix 6X on leading wrist. It’s been fine since mid 2020. It’s still working fine on vers 23.10 and subsequently vers Alpha 23.73.
