Hey, guys, so both Samsung and Apple are rumored to introduce glucose reading on their watches. Do you think it’s coming to Garmin as well with Fenix 7?

Well, I think it's very likely that *flips coin* YES it is coming with the *flips second coin 3 times* Fenix 9.
Just buy a apple or a samsung. No need for all that features from the others. Good GPS and good results are enough
And the F7 must be able to be used as a clinical thermometer (measurement better under the armpit than rectal).

Would be nice, but i doubt it. Garmin has problems with stability and cant even get wrist HR and O2 to work properly.
I think they need to start over and try build software from begining. Because they just cant get this software right. If they add new function there will be even more problems.
First mover advantage would favour someone like Samsung adding to their capabilities in this area whereas, despite patents, Apple would not release this until it had fda approval and hence proved that the tech properly 'worked'.
vivoactive/venu are garmin's competitors to AW6/Galaxy and so those mass-market products would benefit from a glucose solution as well as f7/8/9
However F7, *IF* there is one this year, would have been on the design board 1-2 years ago when that tech didn't exist. So, to answer the question, no it won't come to F7
generally the tech will be released by companies as soon as plausible and later by Apple. This tech will help sell SIGNIFICANT volumes of product. so it will be more of a commerical/image/credibility decision as to if/when garmin get and release this
for garmin: 2022 at the earliest and not F7
IF they succeed it will be a new dimension for a certain group of people

Garmin should decide whether Fenix is a fitness watch or an outdoor watch. I'd rather see better outdoor features.
Fenix series are top tier, so they need to include all functions. Otherwise who would buy watch for 1000 eur if watch for 400 have more functions?

I agree with both these points. I feel like it's primarily an outdoor watch - at least, that's certainly why I bought it, and what I use it for. And if I had to choose between more health/fitness features or more outdoor sports features, I'd pick more outdoor sports features for sure. But like matej787 said, it's the top-tier Garmin watch so really it should also include everything that all the watches below it have.
I would pay good money for a watch with fewer features if all of those features were flawless - if GPS was accurate, instant pace was precise, navigation features were actually usable, etc. I paid a lot of money for Fenix. I don't use most of its features but the ones that I really care about are all half-baked and need a lot of improvement.
Fenix is a jack of all trades but master of none.
