Going For Apple Watch 6 - Will Wait for Fenix 7

Fenix 6x Pro was my 5th Garmin watch i guess; i used to have Vivosmart HR, VA3, FR 245 and VA4 before Fenix 6.

What I don't like about Garmin;

1) First of all, i like all of the designs a lot (VA3, VA4, Venu, Fenix etc) but plasticky body ruins the appearance even for the Fenix line, especially when you want to use different bands;

At least stainless steel can be used on the whole body. If metal materials effect GPS signal quality or cause altimeter/barometer problems, then develeop another strap style like Apple watch.

2) Wrist HR is really good for daily resting HR and running. But other than that it still sucks. It shouldn't be too hard for Garmin to transfer an engineer from Apple and learn about their superb wrist HR technology. Please have a look at how Gerard Williams founded Nuvia and how Qualcomm acquired them Slight smile ı'm sorry but Apple's wrist HR sensor is nearly %100 on par with chest strap.

3) There are some limitations that sound silly to me such as the lack of altimeter for FR 245 and training effect for VA4 etc. For instance, my previous device VA4 was warning when i was under high stress but Fenix not. I'm suprised to learn that it's unique only to VA4 and Venu. You pay double but can't get all of the features. Even though they nearly have the same sensors, on device sleep widget (sleep score) is unique only to FR 745, 945, Fenix 6 and Marq series. Those discriminations only cause angry customers.

I'll use Apple Watch 6 for a while, wait for new Garmin models and play by ear...
