Fenix 6 still showing pace off - underreporting pace while exercising

Are pace issues that started in December 2019 supposed to be solved? My Fenix 6 continues to show live pace wrong on and off (some training session is OK some others is completely off). Once i review the activity it does show the real pace. This is messing up my training and is frustrating that a watch that is so expensive has this issues.

My previous watch 975XT didn't have the issue.

Is there a way to fix this? thanks! CG

  • If you really care about your pace then I suggest that you buy a footpod or a Stryd. That will get you better live pace. So yes, there is a way to ”fix” this. Buy the sensor and move along with your life and training.

Another option would be to contact Garmin about your issue, eventually they MIGHT do something about the software in the watch.

  • I think the poster is talking about structured workouts rather than normal run pace. Do workouts and propace use lap pace rather than instant pace?

Thank you for the clear message!. Pace do matters for the training I am doing these days. I have sent also a note to Garmin.

Yes Matt, my training does require structure workouts at specific paces during the week.  Propace needs to give me instant pace for the training segments so i know that i am reaching the goal. My watch is telling me I am going WAY slower when i am actually going way faster. I finish the training tired, annoyed and frustrated. When i check my summary activities it does show what i felt: too fast and the instant pace was never right. It does not happen all the time only some time. The issue is: for the price of the watch i am struggling to find the return on investment.
