Black slanted lines across watch face

New Garmin Fenix 6 Pro, love it so far.

I have a question regarding the back slanted lines across the watch face.

What are they for? Can they be removed?

I think that what you're seeing is the design of one of the watchfaces. To select another one long press the menu button, select watchfaces, and then use the up and down buttons to select/configure one to your liking. You may need to consult the online manual for more detailed instructions.
