Group Track: does it only with with running and biking?

It seems that it only works with bike and run activities. It would be great if it were implemented for all other outdoor sports as well...

Different occasions... Using hike. 

The icon on the second photo is indicating you are in running profile.

Actually it's indicating Adam is on a trail run activity ...(I'm hiking, using the hike sports profile) Nice to see it shows the activity he's on.

Ok. Now I understand. It is possible to see other people that are running/biking, but you cannot see people that are hiking.
Can Adam see you in Group Track?

He never looks at it as he forgets when he's running, I actually get alerted where he is...I'll try to message him next time we happen to be out at the same time and I get alerted on my watch.
