GPS problems with Fenix 6x pro

The GPS tracking of my Fenix 6X Pro does not work since at least two days. Yesterday it found the signal on a 20.5k track a couple of times but at the end I measurement only 5.7k instead 20.5k. Today, it did not find anything.

I tried all settings (only GPS, GPS and Glonass, GPS and Galileo) - nothing works. Also, I restarted the watch twice.

I think there was a SW update this week. I am not sure if this might be the problem. At least last wednesday the tracking was perfect, even under trees.

Possible reason: Expired EPO on a Garmin Outdoor Watch

EPO was earlier. Today it's CPE. It is the same. I wanted to mention it anyway so there is no confusion. You can see in the system settings whether the CPE on the watch is up to date.

Yes, thanks for the head up - I am not familiar with F6 (this thread was originally posted to the GC forum). Most of other devices still use EPO.

Have you been getting a GPS lock before starting?

Do you have auto pause on?

The CPE is valid, at least my watchs says that. :/

The GPS search does not even start. It got randomly a signal on Saturday. On Sunday it did not even start the search for a signal. :(

I guess I have found a hint - in the system info my GPS version is shown as 0.00. All the other ones ( sensor hub, wifi,...) have updated numbers. Do you guys know how to update the GPS version here? Thanks in advance!

You could try using the Garmin program WebUpdater (find the download link here: Garmin WebUpdater) and re-installing the current version of your software.

Also try connecting to Garmin Express and updating there.

If all else fails factory reset removing all data and settings.
