no music during activity

in general the music works fine. but once i start any activity the sound stops, music still counting on, no sound. even i stop the activity the sound does not come back. earphones are still connected.
i am using the fenix 6X and the sony WF-XB700
i tried to play mp3 directly or via songlate. both same.

does anyone have a solution for this?

Perhaps music is disabled in your used power mode in the activity?

Nope, no power mode is active and music is on on all modes

so, i tried out some things...
connected with a stoneold nokia sbh20 bluetooth headset --> works perfectly, also during activities
connected with a marshall woburn bluetooth speaker --> works also perfectly, also during an activity.
so.... its either the sony earphones or something with the bluetooth... ???

I can confirm this. So far I have been using cheap Аnker Soundbuds Slim headset for running without any connection problems - I bought the WF-XB700 for their better sound and suddenly the problem in question arose... Obviously there is something wrong with the specific combination watch/headset model... Bluetooth compatibility?

Very annoying! Has anyone tried another Sony wireless headset model with the fenix 6x?

I'm thinking of getting the WF-SP800N, but what if they have the same problem? Unfortunately, it's impossible to test this in the store...

I have similar problems with my Jaybird Tarah Pro. But worse... They completely hang with a buzzing sound after trying to play something. I have to do a hard reset to get them to work again. No problems with any other equipment (laptops, cellphones, tablets).

What ANT/BLE/BT version do you have on your watch? If 6.06 or 6.11, then you should try to roll back to 5.04.

Many users (including me) have the same problem mainly with Jaybird headphones. Before BT 6.XX the connection was rock solid without even a dropout... and since 6.06 came in, the music stops in activity mode after a few minutes. Counter counts, pause/play and other buttons are working, except we can't hear anything. :D

Try this, maybe it will work with your Sony headphone too:
