Hey every one,
Just bought this watch in the past 2 weeks and have found the heart rate monitor to be extremely inaccurate during times of physical activity
e.g walking\
where the device was producing random numbers showing my heart rate was between 130 - 178 just walking
has anyone else had this issue.
Big issue for a $1599 watch.

When it's cold the optical sensor is particularly bad due to vasoconstriction -- and also in my case, the OHR seems less reliable with 12.77 beta. I guess that Garmin has many different sensor revisions in the field and they are struggling to get one software version that works on all sensor types for everyone.
Yesterday I was getting such weird numbers from my chest strap that I switched to the OHR at ~10 minutes. But the OHR was even crazier. The HRM-RUN was off because I was wearing a polyester shirt underneath a wool zip-t and the resulting static was confusing the HRM until I sweated enough to saturate the strap and since it was only 35 degrees that took 15 minutes. The OHR was getting confused because my body decided to not send much blood to my hands.
Attached below is a trace from a recent run, the red line is the OHR on my 6X and the grey line is my HRM-RUN chest strap, to get both HR results you need to use a Connect IQ app, I use Auxiliary Heart Rate FR945, which works on the Fenix 6 despite its name.
Very frustrating technological experience yesterday, as you can see the numbers were frequently de-correlated.
