I'm thinking of upgrading to a Fenix 6, not sure which model yet, but not a 6s. I have a couple of (odd) questions that I hope someone is willing to answer:
How does the bezel feel? Is it mostly smooth to the touch? (The bezel on my 5 Plus has sharp edges around the screw holes that make it feel rough, and catch on some clothes.)
If there is someone who has seen the 5 Plus and 6 (non sapphire) side by side, is the 6 just as clear and same contrast as the 5, with backlight off?
The bezel on my Titanium Grey F6 feels smooth. I love how the screws catch the light. It gives a very industrial/rough equipment look. No sharp edges on mine.
About the display, I have found (on mine) a real upgrade but there is no way to enhance the contrast with backlight off.
Backlight off, the more spectacular results are with the Gorilla Glass version which got much less glare than sapphire version. They almost look like with backlight on even with back light off.
I got a sapphire version F6 and happy with it. But the Gorilla version is spectacular backlight off.
Also if you avoid the F6S you will get 260x260 on the F6 or 280x280 resolution on the F6X.
Instead of 240x240 of the F5.
