Garmin return policy is conflicting ,why ?

On the Garmin website there are no returns allowed, but on the Garmin store on Amazon ,returns are allowed.

Why the difference?

Garmin website =  "This custom watch is non-returnable; however, our standard warranty does apply."


Garmin store on Amazon =  " Prime and FREE Returns

This is for the same watch.. I would post the links but they might get flagged as spam, already happened to me today, so annoying when you have to rewrite a post.

    One's a Garmin policy the other an Amazon policy.

    But it's the Garmin store that's selling the watch on Amazon, not a third party.

    I usually like to buy direct from the manufacturer to cut out the middle man, but not in cases like this..

    In this instance, Amazon is the middle man.  It's still from Garmin, but since Amazon is handling the transaction and shipping, they can have a different return policy.  Just make sure if you decide to purchase off Amazon, make sure the seller is from someone you wouldn't have an issue buying from.  There have been many unhappy campers who purchased APAC version watches off Amazon and live in a ROW area.

    Your post is misleading.

    On the Garmin web site, if you click the "Customize Now" button and choose to configure a watch to your own specifications such as substituting a different strap for the one that comes with the watch as standard, then you have created a custom watch that is not returnable because it requires to substitute your custom choices for the standard parts.

    On Amazon, only standard Garmin product offerings are available, and are returnable.

    So... if you select a standard watch on the Garmin site, and the same standard watch on Amazon, both are returnable.

    Oh I see , but it's still confusing  from Garmin website . Go look at this watch put it in basket

    then do same thing with custom and put it in basket. You'll see the custom one isn't returnable 

    ( says so when in basket) even tho it's the same watch.

    It's the exact same watch for $999.99 even when placing  order for custom or not custom

    Also , Amazon does offer the other models in addition to the standard version, I would post

    a link but from what I'm told only 3 allowed a day otherwise it will be marked as spam.

    Also, Garmin's custom order isn't all that custom at all.  I decided well I don't need the Solar, but I do need the 

     6X - Pro with Titanium / Vented Titanium Bracelet with 51mm, but I can't get the 51mm with the Titanium /Titanium bracelet .

    In order to get the 51mm with Ti with Ti bracelet I have to order the Solar version .

    So as you see its not really customizable, you have to choose what they already sell .

    It's simple.  If you want to buy a watch from Garmin which has all of Garmin's return options, then don't buy it through the customize portal.

    All of the standard Garmin watches on Amazon are available on the Garmin web site and are returnable if purchased from Garmin.

    I'll let you figure out why I have the special green border on my posts Wink
