You could try an ask this question in here Garmin Forums. First 2 are about scales.
I used to use the Fitbit Aria scale. Fitbit connected to MyFitnessPal and MyFitnessPal connected to Garmin and it would automatically update. MFP is a relatively popular application so I expect that many smart scale brands will connect to it.
Ultimately, I got annoyed with an issue I was having with the Fitbit scale and decided I really didn’t need my Garmin and other accounts updated so often with my exact weight so I just replaced it with a boring regular digital scale and update Garmin Connect manually if I lose or gain more than a couple kg.
What was the issue you had with the Fitbit scale? Thanks
I use a Fitbit Aria scale synced through MyFitnessPal to Garmin Connect. It works well most of the time though occasionally a day gets missed for some reason. I mostly use it because I was a Fitbit user before Garmin added activity tracking and just kept using it when I switched.
With the new Index S2 out I'm thinking about picking one up and ditching the Aria. It's the only reason I still have an active Fitbit account so it'd be nice to consolidate and get rid of that. Plus the Aria only sends weight to Garmin Connect and not any of the other metrics while the Index will update all the metrics.
So bottom line is, if you want all metrics on Garmin connect and just one account you must buy Garmin index.
After about 1 1/2 years, the scale would sometimes forget to turn off and would keep running with the screen saying “step on scale”. I would go through a set of batteries in a week. I took it apart to clean dust out from inside in case that is what was stopping it from working correctly, but nothing could make it work right other than resting the scale against the wall instead of leaving it on the floor when not using it.
For the most part yes. There are ways using manual import I believe but if you want to track everything in Garmin Connect the index is the way to go.
