Fenix 6s Firmware 12.20 - extreme battery drain

Dear Garmin Team,

as you can see from the number of similar complaints on this forum, there is a massive issue with firmware 12.20:

My Fenix 6s Pro just went from having an amazing battery life to a 100% drain in just 8h idling without any activity tracking and while bluetooth was disabled.

This renders this great watch virtually useless! Please provide a quick fix and instructions how to roll-back the firmware.

Same Here. 100% charged. Watch on default battery saver mode all day. Did 10k run, back on battery saver mode. Less then 16hours later battery already at 50%. Is Garmin actually responding to these forums?

Did you do a soft reset after installing the update? (Press and hold light button till it turns off then turn back on)

On my side, soft or hard reset does not change anything. The firmware since 12.20 have a big problem

Same. I went through all the resetting and restoring. 100% battery last night. Didn't use GPS and turned off pulse ox. This morning I am at 56%. I have multiple ultra marathons coming up. This isn't good.

Same. One running training about 1.5 hour with HRM Pro and Tempe drain from 94 to 50%

I finally heard back from Garmin CS today, they didn't even troubleshoot with me or ask any more questions, they said I could either send my watch then they would send a new replacement or I could pay a deposit and they'd go ahead and send me a new watch then I could send mine after. Fantastic. My only concern is that if I do any updates to the new watch, will that kill the new watch too? But they obviously know about this problem and can't fix it by a new update.

I got a fenix 6s Xmas day and so far have not had a full days use from it as the battery drains so quickly. Today its been on 100% all day until about 5pm and then went down to 10%. I've not even used it to track an activity today. Yesterday was the same. I did full reset yesterday and thought that had sorted it, clearly not!!!

I contacted garmin and was just told to link it to garmin express to check for updates. There weren't any at the time.

I'm really disappointed, this is my second garmin and never had any issues with my vivoactive.

I'm now waiting for another response from garminbut from looking on the Internet it seems this update is causing the problem.

At the moment I have a watch I can't really use!!!!

Any new info on this?

I returned my first 6X Sapphire due to the sudden battery drain. Could be out using GPS, HR, etc for hours and it only went down 3-4%. Then when I came home and didnt do anything suddenly it drained from 93% to 17% in 4-5 hours. Tried to factory reset it, but same issue afterwards without any download of clock faces or chaning of settings.

This new clock i got was promising, 100% to 1% over 14 days. But last night I charged it to 100% and went to sleep. When i woke up this morning it was at 16%(!)
