Before my run, the UP (9 o'clock) and DOWN (8 o'clock) buttons work with long press (hold) to take me to the main menu and to music options, respectively. Towards the end of my run, both of these fail. Holding UP will activate the widget menu and just start scrolling up (the watch having read a short press). Holding DOWN will similarly activate the widget menu and start scrolling down (the watch having read a short press).
I have taken this watch back twice and each one fails in this way. The only reasons I'm using this watch are to track my run and listen to music. If I can't adjust my music or get to the menu during my run, the device isn't doing what I need it to!
I was told at REI it may be moisture from my sweat making it fail. I can't really run without sweating... Do they all do this? Is there any kind of workaround? Or is there a model that hasn't had this issue?
