battery drain

Well I bit the bullet today and upgraded from 10.10 to 12.20.

I stayed on 10.10 as that was the last release that didnt see my battery drain down at 1.3% an hour just sitting on a desk.

I am pleased to say after 12 hours of sitting on my desk, my Fenix 6X Sapphire is still at 100% battery, so it looks like the problem is fixed.

Hmmmm, wait a minute, wait a minute,.....maybe just maybe I have now got the opposite problem in that my watch is always going to stay at 100%.

Wouldnt that just be a little ironic. :-).

This battery drain is getting beyond a joke. look at this! This is untenable, absolutely untenable. How am I supposed to get anywhere near the published battery life if it drains like this?

I noticed it now on my Fenix 6 pro. updated to 12.20 yesterday and charged till 86% and its still at 86% after 24 hours.. seems battery percentage functionality is broken now in this release

My battery drains rapidly after 12.20! Earlier I loaded at Thursday/Sunday, but now every day!

Down 29% in less than 24h without workout. Yesterdays 30 min rum from 34% to 7%....ok, with music but it used to drain less.

Is there a fix soon or can I somehow downgrade to 11.10 again?

But actually it can't be because of the 12.20 firmware that some of these have such problems with the battery.
I don't have any deterioration with the battery after updating to the 12.20

Could it possibly be because of whether you have installed any apps or watch faces from the Garmin IQ Shop, which then do not work properly with the 12.20?

Haven’t any apps or watchfaces from IQ....because I know that it could cause drain Got the original watchface only....

Had the same drain, watch doing f_all all day. After fiddlign with software and resets, sent it beck for RMA!

Iád suggest you do the same, so Garmin will take this seriously!

No problem at all. Its a cheap Fenix 6 without anything on 12.20. 1:20h training with GPS on sunday.
