Heart Rate monitor on the Tactix Delta.

I have just received my new Tactix Delta with Solar Sapphire. Heart rate monitor seems to work well when I am am not active, with a rate of approx. 55, BUT when I start running it very quickly goes up til 140/150 on a slow low impact run. I am wearing the watch correctly etc etc. Please advise how to correct.

There is a multitude of threads concerning the WHR accuracy of the latest Fenix based watches. For some it works more or less OK while others are having lots of issues. This also depends heavily on the sports mode. During strength training, WHR is absolutely useless for me.

I personally only rely more or less on the chest strap.

Dont have a Tactix Delta but a fenix 6X Pro, similar weight and size I think.

I tighten the strap by 1 notch more than normal when doing an activity such as walking, running and cycling.

For swimming I tighten by 2 notches.

I find this helps with WHR accuracy.
