Update from Beta 11.77 to coming 12.10 final version

You can get 12.10 now in the same way as you get the betas. Follow the link in the thread in the F6 forum.

Assuming no further changes are made to 12.10, then eventually 12.10 will be released automatically to everyone when they sync, either over Express or GCM. Probably next week to 2 weeks.

Doing a reset after an update isn't strictly necessary. But it is good practice, as it can clean up old code. And make your watch run smoother and with less battery drain.

So you have a technique not to recreate all your activity screens and redownload all the applications? Because remaking the screens takes me a lot of time so that's why I install more beta I have too often to do a reset after.

Is it possible to install firmware updates directly via the integrated WLAN of the Fenix 6 Pro?

This may be an obvious point, but beta software should be considered experimental. If you are not comfortable playing with settings (or indeed recreating them), then waiting for the production software may be the safer option.

As stated already, just install the 12.10 version in the same manner you did the 11.77. And in my experience, if 12.10 does end up being the final production version, you don't have to do anything once the update is 'officially' released. You would already have it on your watch.

I went from 11.77 to 12.10 without any issues. Install it and you'll be all set.

The watch will automatically update "public release" firmware versions - either over wifi, or via bluetooth with your phone. There's nothing you'd need to do, it happens by itself when a new release comes out.

But for installing these "beta" or "release candidate" firmware versions, though, you can only do it manually using a USB cable with your computer. No way to do it over wifi or bluetooth.
