I've done a million different things but I can't get my brand new Fenix 6 Pro Solar past GPS version 4.10.
Multiple resets, installs from Garmin Express and Garmin Connect, manually copying the .gcd file to RemoteSW - no matter what, the watch reboots, flashes the update screen for a split second, then boots up normally and reports that the GPS version is 4.10.
Further, when starting activities, GPS takes a very long time to get a fix. Most of the time it actually gets no fix at all, or it will record my position on the map, but activities do not show any distance information whatsoever. This is pretty crappy for close to a THOUSAND DOLLARS.
Should I return it? Is this the level of quality to expect from Garmin?
