Audio prompts language, garmin connect language, phone language

Hi,

I've got My phone language set to English (US) and Garmin connect app language to russian - no effect. The connect app is still in english. Same with audio promts during autolap for an example. If I chose to russian and wear my bluetooth headphones during activity, i hear time and other numbers pronounced in native russian, but things like heart rate, average speed etc are pronounced like english words in russian. I don't hear things like "Пульс" in russian, instead I hear "hert reit" and "evereg spid", its like not translated, but pronounced in russian. Please fix it. If I use my phone in Russian language, both connect and audio promts are ok.

There is an additional setting in the Garmin Connect app for the audio prompt language, apart from the language of the app itself.

Activity Options> Audio Prompts> Language

I think Russian is in there (if my reading of Cyrillic script is right).

Thank you for reply. yes, I know it. and when I chose russian, it says numbers in native russian and other words it pronounces like english in russian, as I mentioned before, it sounds like "everg spid" instead of average speed in english and "Srednjaja skorost/Средняя скорость" in russian. Same about Lap. It says literally "Lep", in russian it is Krug/Круг and so on.

Hi Romeor, did you please manage this bug? I am having the same problem and even though I dont have Slovak neither in my phone nor in my Garmin Quatix 6 PRO my Audio prompts language, changing each time I start any new activity. So it mixes two languages Slovakian and English. Thanks for your reply.

Look for text to speech output setting of your android phone.

There are so many AI/Speech settings now but this is the one that answered it for my Samsung Ultra. I did have to reboot to get the app/system setting to sync.

In my particular situation, the voice had spontaneously swapped from Female to Male and I was unable to figure out why. (not related to the languages issue from the OP) There is a Google speech engine, and Samsung Speech engine, apparently Googles currently defaults to a Female voice and Samsungs defaults to a Male voice. Some update must have reinforced the Samsung Engine and swapped the voice.
