Freezing during activity and during Garmin pay pin

Indeed. I have the same. During running and without pressing any button, the watch is suddenly restarting. After starting the screen shows options to continue or save etc but none of the options are working. In fact, none of the buttons are working either! A manual restart by pressing the off button does not have any effect. By the way, this is the third time this happens. Even after deinstall all widges and other options (advice from Garmin). Now waiting for other options.....

Yes, mine does that as well - freezes on the last digit when putting in my pin for the wallet. Any tips?

i was working for me flawlessly but last week it came update 13.10 and since that update I got the same problem like u freeze on last digit of pin on garmin pay 

it happened once on last PIN digit during Walking activity on 12.20 firmware

Happens to me too.  New watch. 

Meanwhile, I’ve contacted my supplier and he gave me the best advice ever ️

- de-install all additional widges and do a soft reset (see the manual).

After some days, I still had problems. So time for his second option .

- do the hard reset by following the manual instructions

Be aware all your data will be deleted, but can be restored when you sync with your history in garmin connect.

All measures like your max hard-rate, hard-rate zones, vo2 max, training course and routes  etc will disappear too.

Do your setup again after the hard-reset as you use it for the first time.

Do NOT install extra widgets for the time being. So keep ‘it clean’ and use your device for some time in this configuration.

I’m running for 4 month now without any problems. Even my GPS was much more accurate.

Last week I’ve added thr Spotify widget. Still no issues as expected.

I have done that 

help desk was giving me the same advice and I have done both uninstall all other apps ( did not helped) 

done full factory reset wipe all data 

and now still freeze and part of data is lost !!!!

I’ve the same software version 13.10 - no issue till now

Garmin pay should not cause any problems ofcourse but I did not even used this widget. After the reset I just only did my setup and thats it. Just to be sure the problem could not come from any other feature.

My advice is to do a hard reset again, the setup and keep it clean for a while.

I know, it is ridiculous because a device like this should work properly. Even when using the additional widges.

Otherwise you can contact your supplier on order to support (?)

Yes same problem here but I found that mine only froze because last 2 digits of my pin were the same. By entering the first and then rotating the numbers around the dial to select the same number I could then use wallet.  Can’t believe all users had same problem but this fixed mine.
