Course creation using watch, only direct route?

I have tried to create a course from point A to point B using my Fenix 6, but even if choose run and walk or bike course from navigation settings, watch only calculate direct route (straight line) on the map, is it normal?

From the activity settings (Run/Walk/etc):

Routing> Activity> Running and Walking

Ok, I understood... I can see routable course only if I choose "follow course" , if only I want to see the course on the map, I see only a straight line.
