Fenix 6 Titanium Band Fitting

Hi,

Over the years I have enjoyed the Garmin Fenix 3, Fenix 5 and I now have the Fenix 6 with titanium and silicon bands. The titanium band looks very cool and is extremely light but the quality of finish is poor as it cuts into my wrist even though I had it professionally fitted. I have tried various positions for the clasp but it feels terrible and cuts into my wrist as the sides of the clasp are very sharp and the internal hinge is horribly rough. I am back onto the silicon band..........

Buy the Fenix 6 with silicon bands ONLY!

  • I confirm that. Sold mine too and went back to silicon band. Came from an Omega band - maybe also a bit too high expectations - but not beeing able to wear the band due to poor craftmanship came unexpected.

I "love" that kind of "order" because one got a bad experience. Fitting with any bracelet is personnal.

First you don't mention if you got the vented titanium band (available for one year since the release of the F6) or the classic titanium band (available again on the Solar and designed for the F5).

Oh BTW I'm a happy wearer of a vented titanium band and I really recommend it for 24/7.
The quality of the clasp is just perfect. The two finishes makes it stand out. The scratches are REALLY easy to erase with jeweler pad at 5 euros.
It is hard to make it fit since the little titanium screws are hard to remove and need a jeweler with the right tools to make it fit to your wrist. I have learned titanium on titanium can get stuck. It is known on full titanium watch.
But even then there is 4 little holes with a springbar for you to micro adjust it by yourself.

My opinion on the vented bracelet after a hot summer with the obligation to watch your hand and wrist every hour ? It is just perfect.
And yes the silicon was giving me rash but not titanium.
You mileage may vary but I love mine. Some pictures over 9 months of wearing the vented one. I use to wear a Chinese copy which I still got and for a quarter of the price is also a great fit. I also wear Nick Mankey's and leather bands but for 24/7 -> titanium ! ;-)
