Garmin Connect. Pairing Failed

As the title says. I have just received my new Fenix 6x Pro today and have tried everything to pair it with my iPhone X using Garmin Connect. 
When I first tried it I got to input the passcode that showed on the watch, but it then showed pairing failed. 
Tried several more times, restarting watch and phone. Re-installing connect but with the same problem. I removed the watch from my connect account and then tried all over again. Same problem but this time it’s not even asking for my passcode. 
Any help is much appreciated.
