Fenix 6 Solar has slimmer bezel vs regular 6/6 pro

One thing unmentioned is that 6 Solar has slimmer bezels compared to regular Fenix 6.
While outer diameter of the bezel is unchanged – bezel is slimmer to allow charging ring placement.
This is not mentioned on the Garmin’s website but is obvious from the photos and can be measured.
I think its a welcome change and visually is a design move in the right direction.

(On photos below - line at 6 and 12 o'clock is closer to the bezel edge on 6 Solar + same applies for the screw holes)

This is true, but personally I think you would be mad to buy the solar models now when you can get the sapphire DLC models with 15% discount.

I already have 6X Solar - this post was only a comment on the slight design change that Garmin implemented.
I like it - and guess Fenix next gen would bring more "cleaner" look of the bezels across devices..

My personal consideration for Solar comes from screen quality perspective.

Sadly - only with Solar model bought now - you 100% get pitch black screen (no "blue-hue" screen many-mentioned here). With regular Pro model - you certainly get blue-hue screen, while with Sapphire - its a 50/50% chance...

My latest 6S Sapphire is more purple than blue - is this normal?!

I personally settled with Solar due screen quality (its pitch black) and putting durability on the second place..
