One Button Press = Two?

Wondered if anyone else since 11.10 notices that sometimes a single press on the Start button gives them the same results as clicking it twice.

For example, sometimes from the watch face if I press the button once to select my activity, I'll end up actually on the Bike screen with it trying to find GPS. Like I've pressed once, then pressed again.

I can't figure out if it's just the button failing and registering two clicks instead of just one, or if it's a software bug.

Given it only seems to happen with the main "Garmin" button, I suspect hardware, but curious in case anyone else has noticed it post 11.10. I suspect it's just bad timing.

Check button behavior in the widgets. If one button press takes you to the second screen of the widget - congratulations you have faulty button. If not - it's something to do with the software.

i did not observed the mentioned behavior on my F6S since I've installed the 11.10

Check button behavior in the widgets. If one button press takes you to the second screen of the widget - congratulations you have faulty button. If not - it's something to do with the software.

Yeah it's definitely the button is faulty. If I press my combination for Garmin pay, sometimes it will enter 3 digits of "0"

It's like as the button is coming back out after being depressed that it registers more clicks.

V annoying.

Another two here not seeing this so looks like you might need to start discussing a warranty replacement.

Yeah, it's def the button.

So annoyed, I've looked after it so well, never been in the shower or hot water with it, got it a screen protector etc.

But yes, warranty claim time. *grumble*

Don't see either.

Try having watch in a bowl of warm water and a drop off soap. Let it sit for like i don't know 6hrs.

Or shower with it and click click click click click click click click click click. You're aming for climax here

hahaha love it, thanks for the laugh.

I'll give it a go, yea. I'd hate to swap it because it's otherwise fine and it's got things on it that can't be backed up (the data with with the MagicDust watchface, for example)

No problem. I've had some of these button issues from time to time with f3hr and f6x. Buildup in the button. Didn't happen to all... always 1 I find. A good rinse and button fiddle fixes it.

Unless it still persists, then at least you tried.

Don't forget to pat dry the watch, and blow the water out of the baro sensor.

I try not to ever get the buttons dirty. But yes, I'll try the hot water soak mentioned by AndreiDracul and see if that helps.
