Calendar/Workout not syncing

My watch is running version 10.10. 
Im following a training plan that is created in training peaks and forwarded to Garmin calendar. I see the workouts in GC and on Garmin web. I then sync phone to watch but the plans are not arriving on the watch. This worked fine since I’ve had the watch but suddenly stopped working in the last few days. I did see a message about a software update had been applied and it does seem to coincide. 
I have tried manually pushing the workouts to the phone bit that doesn’t work. I also have a red circle with an exclamation mark on the device page of GC which says sync failed. Most of my data is syncing fine, it just seems to be the calendar. 

Anyone else noticed this?

  • YES! I'm having a similar issue where all of a sudden my workouts are gone from, in my case, Fenix 5.

    I've tried creating new ones, syncing through phone but the watch says "Download workouts from Garmin Connect" when I go into "Run Settings" -> "Training" - "My Workouts"

    Same with "Run Settings" -> "Navigation" - "Courses", no courses there though there are in Connect.

    Same if I plan a workout in the Connect calendar, they don't show up when syncing through phone. However if I sync through computer with cable, the workouts in calendar get synced, but not the rest.

    I also feel this is something that has been working in past but is broken since some days/weeks back....

  • same issue here - it gets synced only if I use wifi sync, if I sync via BT, then I can see error in the garmin connect app (device page), Also this error happens only on days where I have planned workouts from trainingpeaks

  • I had connection to TP in the past, but not anymore. I just removed Final Surge from the connections as well. But just tried sync and the issue persist Disappointed

    BTW I can't see any device error..? It syncs accordingly to the Connect App on Phone.

  • Is there a way to force the wifi sync? I always use Bluetooth, or is it just a case of turning BT off on the phone then pressing sync button in Garmin Connect? My watch is still running version 10.10 and I’m hoping this will be fixed when updated to 11.10 although people appear to be having enough aggravation with that version. It’s very frustrating that every time Garmin fix one thing they break something else!!
    Anyone know if you can force an update to start? It seems to be automatically applied but I really could do with the Training Peaks workouts going to the watch.
