My device is not able to complete the upgrade

Hello All,

Today morning my device started some update. Unfortunately it is not able to complete it and it hung at some level. It is not able to connect to Garmin Express. I tried hard restart with power/light and lap/back but it doesn't work. I contacted Support but they wants to send my watch to them to check. Anyone got this issue recently ? I'm adding picture here.

Regards, Krystian

I am going to imagine the steps you took with the Garmin tool

    • step 1 connect the watch to usb
    • step 2 execute the Garmin tool
    • step 3 remove watch from usb
    • step 4 watch restarts, starts update and fails

please fill in the blanks from my imagination

    next

now at which point did Garmin tell you to send in the watch (report)

    • was this 1 before using the Garmin tool
    • was this 2 after using the Garmin tool

need you to do following steps and report back as minute as possible

    • step 1 connect the watch to usb
    • step 2 execute the Garmin tool
    • step 3 check what happens with the watch (report)
    • step 4 wait a few minutes
    • step 5 check if the watch is reachable via computer (report)
    • step 6 when yes
    • delete GUPDATE.GCD file in GARMIN folder (report)
    • delete all files in REMOTESW folder (report)
    • step 7 when no
    • contact Garmin Support again to set up the exchange
    • step 8 disconnect the watch from usb
    • step 9 check what the watch is doing (report)

    done Smile

Thanks for detailed instructions ... anyway:

step 5 check if the watch is reachable via computer (report) - unfortunately it is not reachable via computer so I'm not able to delete anything. Support is not able to do more, they requested me to send watch to them.
