Same here.. after this mew update in the morning.. my battery is down from 100% to 68% within 9 hours... Bluetooth off, wifi off, pulse ox off.. keeping my usual settings as before.. when i used to ha…
I use 100% battery in 20 hours on a Fenix 6s pro which I’ve only had for 10 days. Was fine before update
HI, I have just had the same thing. Updated to latest release last night with watch charged 100% and this morning its down to 62% afte sitting on my desk all night, no wifi running, no bluetooth running…
I paid the security deposit and they shipped my replacement out immediately.
Same here. Garmin offered me either option for my replacement. I gave them a credit card so they could charge a deposit and ship immediately. Once the new one showed up I used the same box, put the return label on and sent it back.

Always worth pointing out when stating this sort of thing that Garmin service varies country by country - with no one stating where they are located in this thread, you can't assume everyone gets this service, it varies by locale.
Garmin UK for example only ship out replacements when they receive it, at least that's always been the case for me. There was never any offer to pay in advance (which I'd been happy to do)
I had to pay $380.00 as a deposit until they get the old watch back.
Netherlands, I even offered to buy a new watch and they refund me once they receive the old watch back. Nope, no can do. I had to wait for the watch to arrive and be checked. Then wait for the warehouse to do its thing, wait for shipping, etc... 2 weeks min.
Canada. $239CAD deposit.
I finally bit the bullet and contacted support. Since my F6 was purchased at release in 2019 I am out of warranty. The deal was $190 replacement. They offered to send me a replacement (refurb) with a retainer of $190 to be credited when I ship back my current watch.
After all the hassle I have a sneaking suspicion that the battery just can't hold charge after a certain time frame, makes sense. No different than a cell phone. Constant charge/discharge 24 hours a day does wear a battery down to poor performance.
Yep..was in the same boat. Once you get your new watch you will realize how bad the old one was and you'll never look back.
Went through Garmin support via email, tried all the fixes for software resets etc on my Fenix 6X, no good, a 45 minute walk would use 20% of the battery, lucky to get two days out of it.
Garmin then asked to me to send mine in for a refurbished one, looks like new. 24 hours in, notifications on, bluetooth to phone, wifi off, did one 45 minute walk with GPS and only used 3% in that time.
I agree with some comments on here, I am not convinced it is a software issue, I think the battery drops off a cliff in performance terms after a time period and that is why Garmin in doing the refurbished swap with new batteries in them I suspect. Anyway the refurbished one is working like it should so good on Garmin for coming to the party outside of the warranty period.
Thank is awesome news. Can't wait for my replacement.
I agree, Garmin doing all they can to keep their loyal customers happy.
