Same here.. after this mew update in the morning.. my battery is down from 100% to 68% within 9 hours... Bluetooth off, wifi off, pulse ox off.. keeping my usual settings as before.. when i used to ha…
I use 100% battery in 20 hours on a Fenix 6s pro which I’ve only had for 10 days. Was fine before update
HI, I have just had the same thing. Updated to latest release last night with watch charged 100% and this morning its down to 62% afte sitting on my desk all night, no wifi running, no bluetooth running…
got mine for Christmas - same problem from Day 1 (but with a new watch, it's got that problematic software version on it from the start...sooo...)... after reading this, I'm thinking I need to report it right away... I spend most of my time in battery-saver mode to keep pulse oxy, music, and wifi off...
Maybe I solved the problem! (I'm still testing) but it looks like the battery isn't running out anymore! if it really works, i will write the fix
So what the fix, can't believe that Garmin keep silence
If it is indeed a hardware problem with the battery, it makes sense that they keep silence. In some countries after say 1 year of guarantee you get an additional year, but you need to prove that there was a design issue with the device, which may be difficult to do. If they publicly acknowledge there is a battery issue they would give ground to all those second year guarantee claims, and potentially need to recall of all affected devices.
Mine got replaced after failing after 1 year, but they offered no explanation.
Hi NemoSandman, did that work for you.
I just reset my fenix 6 pro. I'll see how it will go in these days.
Im experiencing the same issue. I didnt notice if that changed since the SW upgrade tbh.
Thanks in advance
Dan
what is normal battery usage?
YES the battery is working!!!
At the beginning of the battery dying. The 13.10 software was running on my Garmin 6X solar pro. As the battery started dying rapidly, I had updated to the 14.72 but but the battery still started dying fast. After that I made a restoration to the backdate (to 13.10). After that restoration I made company reset. However the problem was not solved. After that I put the download_details.jsp to the watch, which hadn’t been updated after I disconnected the watch from the computer. Consequently my watch’s is on 13.10 and battery is good + I turned off "broadcast heart rate" from menu>sensors and accessories>wrist heart rate, then restarted and that helped
I took it off the charger at 06:00 in the morning and 99% of the battery by 11:50! everything is on (wifi, BT, HR)
What is this step "put the download_details.jsp to the watch" ? If it's software version related, why wouldn't Garmin release a fix?
