Same here.. after this mew update in the morning.. my battery is down from 100% to 68% within 9 hours... Bluetooth off, wifi off, pulse ox off.. keeping my usual settings as before.. when i used to ha…
I use 100% battery in 20 hours on a Fenix 6s pro which I’ve only had for 10 days. Was fine before update
HI, I have just had the same thing. Updated to latest release last night with watch charged 100% and this morning its down to 62% afte sitting on my desk all night, no wifi running, no bluetooth running…
It's because there was no QA done in the beta, no testing; just a beta build sent to the tiniest segment of the population that are not professional bug testers of which most either reporting nothing and downloaded it as a "early release," or sent info that was unrefined because there is no direction on what to look for or how to articulate problems perceived. Then given about a week to germinate, and sent out as stable. And the cycle repeats again.
And then we get threads like this, which, on my end I am not getting a major drain, but it is higher than prior builds.
What have you lost with this reset ? Apps, history, VO2max, screen configuration, etc.?
Is your phone Apple or Android? What version of Android, if it's that?
Mine's a Moto g8 plus running Pie.
Samsung S20 Plus. Pie too.
I have tested without bluetooth on a longer time my F6 Pro:
0,3% by hour in normal mode. OHR ON.
0,1% by hour in battery saver mode. OHR ON too as it is monitorating Stress and Sleep.
So the culprit in my case seems really to be the blue tooth connection draining the battery.
And to be precise it is a drain when Music Control is used.
Right now I have the BT back on and receive messages and got weather update. And I'm at 0.3%/hour.
i thought intiially that the issue is with BT.. however, i have been using watch with BT switched off since past few days and battery drain is still about 30-50% more
Same. I am having the same drain, even with Battery Saver activated (no BT, no Wifi, no Music, Low Power Watchface, no OX, no Backlight only OHR.)
I’m having the same drain regardless aswell. A full battery last 20 hours without any Bluetooth, WiFi, pulse ox on
Hm... looks like I may have no battery drain for my Fenix 6X Sapphire, the SW was updated to 11.10 a few days ago.
Battery % stays the same for the last 3 hours, battery drain is about 2 or 3% since today's morning (4.30pm here in The Netherlands now). BT is ON, 10-15 notifications, alarm, using smartwatch to check weather report etc.
I'm just reading this but 2 days at 5% decharge so 40 days on a charge? You better share your secret then cause that's not normal....
Expedition mode? :-)
Only way that's happening if everything that might be used as tracking is turned off, no backlight. It's just a watch at that point, so maybe that's the case?
For me, with no GPS used, or tracked activities, short backlight, 24/7 mode on, no pulse ox, WiFi and BT on and a Garmin stock watchface; I burn 10% battery every 24hours.
Currently, that's taken place in 12 hours. That's 50% more battery drain on current software. Reported, but I have no faith it will be addressed or will be, but will end up breaking something else in the process.
