fenix 6x uber fast battery drain

Just updated my fenix through Garmin Express and no battery drains in about 24 hours! Anyone else experiencing this? Not running anything special other than bluetooth to my phone and syncing with my Garmin Edge (cycling). I am guessing it is a software glitch??? Any ideas?

Ok, update, I contacted Garmin support. They said to plug garmin into computer goto garmin directory and delete GarminDevice.XML, then turn off and on device. Support says this clears a corrupted update…

Reboot the watch and see if the problem persists.

Do a hard reboot. Press the top LEFT button for 30 seconds until the screen goes blank. Wait a minute. Then power on again.

After each update, try rebooting the device after the update is complete.

It’s not exactly the same issue I just posted about 3D, but it’s a battery issue nonetheless. Thanks for sharing, Golfpt3. I’ve rebooted my 6XS and will be watching it closely.

I did a hard reset of settings as I was not able to sync with my phone... now I'm able to sync with my phone but still having fast battery drainage.

Similar. Since last week and after 1 year my Fenix 6X Pro is suddenly draining around 20% every 24 hours, without having change the settings (before it would last 2 weeks, even doing lots of activities.) Even when disconnecting the Bluetooth the drain remains the same. No extra apps installed, basic watch face, even without seconds. I have tried install the last beta and the problem persists. Will try to do a hard reset, and if it does not work, contact support.

Exactly in the same boat. And I feel as if recently, more and more reports saying the same thing are appearing.

Faster battery drain without any radical change in use or settings. I contacted support in Poland on tuesday, for now they didn't bother to even acknowledge that they have received my message.

Today I dd an easy hike, 8km, with GPS (4.50) - battery fell 20 percent. Seriously?

Is anyone actually working for Garmin even reading these forums and cares to say anything?
