Black nylon band problem

Purchased a black nylon band in November and I was very happy with it because it solved the irritation problems caused by the rubber one. Used it only for bed time and during the days I didn't do any activities, but after a couple of months I saw that one of the loop holes (hope I've got it right) started to degrade. Didn't bother me much until now and I've decided to contact Garmin. They replied, telling me that it's not covered under warranty. Slight smile

It seems odd that a 99€ product, with 2 years of warranty, doesn't cover this kind of damage. I didn't expect them to exchange the hole band, but at least they could've send a spare part, considering that for their rubber bands, they do that.

If any of you had the same problem, please tell me what you did to solve it, besides buying a 3rd party nylon strap, only for a loop hole.

Thanks!

  • I buy the Fenix 2 Nylon one and just cut a hole in it where the HR monitor is on my 6X. Been doing it since I have the 3HR and wont be using that Silicone bands as they are rubbish.
