fēnix 6 - Pro Solar Edition - Titanium

Has anyone got this watch? I’m curious as it seems to be the only Fenix 6 with DLC coated titanium? I have a couple of questions.

Is the case size 46mm like the normal 6 Pro Titanium and does it come with a black silicone band inside the box? Also why does the back plate say SS on the website?

    hi,

case from the solar one is identical with 6pro titanium

yes a black silicone strap with coated titanium buckle is included

website picture is wrong, it says titanium on the real one (was the first thing I looked for Slight smile)

    happy & safe sporting

  • There is a YouTube video of the 6 Titanium showing the box that said the case was 46 x 46mm.

  • Can't answer these, but have a similar question.

On my country's Garmin website the white/blue Fenix 6 just says minera lblue and on the US website is says titanium mineral blue. The backside also shows SS. And on the box during an unboxing video the weight shows the SS weight (heavier). Is the blue/white Solar the lighter version in titanium or stainless steel? I am confused, esp. because of different descriptions in different languages on garmin.com and because of the box showing weight is 85g. But then why is it more expensive then the regular 6 Pro solar?

  • I bought the white Fenix 6 Pro Solar in Germany and it has a blue titanium bezel and back, buttons and the clasp have martching colours (don`t know, it they are SS oder Titanium too);  on the backside it shows Titanium also.

  • OK, Thank you very much. So the weight must be or is around 72g? Cause the box says 85g.

  • I didn’t know the white and blue one was titanium? That might tempt me from the 6S as it is probably better for running than the standard F6 and the 6 will make looking at maps a lot easier. Just a shame they haven’t DLC coated these new solar models, they should have done for the price. I also wonder how the white band will age?

  • It's 71g on my kitchen scale :-).

  • I didn't either but the higher price made me think about what it is that makes it more expensive and I checked the US site which says mineral blue titanium. I wanted to try it but unfortunately price has gone up at the shop I wanted to but it from.

Thanks oek for the information. :-)

I wonder which color, black or blue/white, would look "smaller"/better on a small wrist!

I am also a F6s user or was, had to exchange so many times because of display and more. But I don't like the tiny font so I wonder if a titanium F6 with bigger display would make it more readable.

  • I got the Fenix 6 Pro Solar Mineral Blue Titanium today. Amazing. Posted it in the display comparison thread before. Display is like night and day, compared to the normale Fenix 6 and 6s and all other Garmin watches I had for years. I had the luck and got a black panel, not mentioning the amazing beautiful color of the white/blue watch. Looks amazing. With 71g 9g lighter than the normal Fenix 6 and even more than the normal 6 Pro (14g).

It was expensive, but at least I saved 150$ to the original price. Atm there is nothing, besides it being a little big which I knew before, that keeps me away from keeping it. To scotthunter: The white color makes the watch not look as big as the black color. Still of course noticeable difference to 6s! At first glance the bigger size makes the watch balance the weight better. Somehow it feels more comfortable and lighter than the Fenix 6s which is 10g lighter.

Solar Panel is more reflective than normal Fenix 6 but not as reflective as Sapphire.

Picture shows comparison between Fenix 6 and Fenix Solar, brightness of both 100%.

  • Hey there,

I was wondering if anyone out there owns this particular watch? The reason I'm curious is that it appears to be the only Fenix 6 model that's made with DLC coated titanium. I've got a couple of questions if you don't mind sharing your insights.

First off, is the case size the same 46mm as the regular 6 Pro Titanium? And does it include a black silicone band in the package? Another thing that's been bugging me is why the back plate is labeled as SS on the website. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks a bunch! Looking forward to hearing from someone who knows more about this. And visit this site here this person give information about kitchen grinders.
