  • Does it still show you a pace the watch gets a stable GPS lock?

Basically, there is nothing wrong here. Since the watch does not have a stable GPS connection, it will "bounce" around - the calculated location will be moving around the real location, which will be interpreted as you walking around.

If you want this to be fixed - do not start a GPS activity indoors, go outside and get a stable GPS signal. The watch will have a hard time getting a signal inside.

  • There is a fix for this. Just don't start a GPS activity when the watch is indoors and not on your wrist.

  • No software issue. GPS has an inherent probable error of up to 5 meters - and this is increased in poor GPS conditions such as indoors. If 1 GPS point is 5m to your left, and the next is 5m to your right, this can lead the watch reporting you have moved 10m in that time.

The watch is correctly reporting the GPS plots it is receiving.

If you don't want to see this, there is an easy fix - turn Autopause on.

On a side note, what exactly were you looking to achieve in actively tracking running while your watch was on the windowsill?
