Heart rate monitor

Doesnt matter what setting I use, the heart rate monitor fails to read or reads incorrectly almost every time i workout. Today i tried to uae the cardio app to record my calories and heart rate for a high intensity workout.... 45 minutes with 20lb weight vest... burned 3 calories and got one, yes 1, heart rate reading of 95. Slowly starting to lose my patience with garmin. Basically i have an over priced stop watch on my arm, I could have gotten 3 dozen timex watches to do exactly the same thing. Next step will be retun and refund. No reason to have it if it isnt going to work properly.

  • Just return it. If it does not work yet it will never get fixed (they try since over one year now).

  • First thing first, you should contact support directly to get the issue fixed. Complaining in the forum doesn't help you at all.

Contacting support will not fix the HR issue.  My advice is to return it.  The reason there aren't as many complaints is that most users are not really attuned to what their heart rate values should be, or just don't really care.   There is a serious problem with how the software is working with the sensor, especially outside of activities.  The HR seemed to work very well on initial firmware of 3.10, but then they did something and it never worked right again.

Return it, the beautiful looks won't keep you happy.  The data will just start to eat away at your patience.
