Garmin. Please fix your Heart rate sensor on your device. Maybe poach someone from Fitbit to work on it?

I wish Garmin would take the seriously. I went from a Fitbit Alta HR, a 100 dollar device that was pretty accurate compared to my chest strap. My Garmin fenix 6x pro solar has always seemed off. Mine runs much higher and always has me worried I'm going to blow up my heart. (lol sort of). Today I wore both the Fitbit AltaHR and also my Fenix6xprosolar. Checking them both from time to time and the Fenix shows almost 20 BPM higher than the Fitbit. I can't understand how there can be such a huge difference. I've been worried lately that my heart has been having issues and made an appointment to have a stress test done just from all the stress of the inconsistencies I'm seeing. PLEASE Garmin, PUT SOME ENERGY INTO FIXING THIS!!!!!!! Please offer some constructive suggestions! I LOVE my Fenix device and want to keep it. I don't want to have to return it just because Garmin doesn't actually care about tit's customers with genuine feedback. Maybe steal someone from Fitbit to work on the Garmin HR piece?

(I still have the 9.98 beta, haven't been giving via auto update the 10.10 update yet.)

You have a Fitbit that's pretty accurate compared to your chest strap. Your Fenix is always off and much higher. You suggest Garmin hire someone from Fitbit. You want Garmin to put some energy into fixing their watch because you believe it's broken. OK. I get that. What I don't get is why you scheduled an appointment for a stress test because of a watch you've determined to be faulty and the reason for the inconsistencies?

I scheduled a stress test because Im training for a marathon and want to be 100% that I'm alright. Not sure 100% which device is giving me the best information. I lean toward the fitbit because it's been accurate in the past, but the differences between the fitbit and the Garmin have me paranoid.

I don't think it was abrasive at all. Read your post again and do so from a neutral point of view. It's a reasonable assumption from what you posted that you've already come to a conclusion that the Fenix is wrong. Your second post is quite different than your first and less bias. Your bias in your first post may be justifiable because of what you're experiencing, but it leaves one wondering about the scheduled appointment. This was the basis for my question.

Same here. My Fenix 6 is always 20-30 bpm higher than both my Charge 3 and my 2 chest straps. Totally useless, since most of the metrics are based on HR.

When you book the test, if you're booked up to a machine to read hr. Wear both watches. That way you can find out for sure. Be warned though that outside activities the alta only samples in minutes while the fenix does seconds so it'd be fair to take a few minutes to compare..

Just one note of caution. If youre basing the difference off resting heart rate, Fitbits tend to be 10 beats higher in their calculations.. DC Rainmaker did a test and he mentioned it several times.

You’re serious about your training and worried about inaccuracy from the OHR. Why don’t you just wear the chest strap you already own?
