So I was planning on buying a fenix 6S Pro, my first smartwatch, as it appears to have all of the functionality I am interested in. All the functionality but one. On top of the usual applications from the fenix I am really interested in the Garmin Sailassist, however, this one is not listed as one of the apps of the Garmin Fenix 6S Pro. As I have little experience with smartwatches I turned to the internet to find out.
However, there is little to nothing to find there, which is quite remarkable nowadays. I tried to find a online comparison for the functionalities and only really found third party sites that covered the topic to generically. There was something of sorts on the Garmin Shop site, however this wasn't appropriate as well and quite a hassle for what it was supposed to do.
That is very meager support for a 600-1200€ product.
But I did not give up and tried to look for a brick and mortar store here in vienna. The only ones that are listed as resellers are into jewellery and I do not expect them to tell me the intricate differences between the fenix 6s Pro and the quatix 6 and the respective apps. Last but not least garmin appears to favor a direct sales model. But there is absolutely no support hotline for prospective buyers from Garmin, at least not in Austria/Germany or any localised site. I would also talk to the support in english, I don't mind.
So PLEASE,can anybody tell me: Is it possible to get more apps on a fenix other than the ones it comes with? Is it possible to install the Sailassist on the Fenix 6S? Is it possible to get the functionality from the Fenix on the quatix?
