I was fairly happy with my Quatix 6 watch until today. Even though it has a GPS in it, I was told by Garmin Support that it will not display ETA or ETE unless I connect to a Garmin Chart Plotter. This fact was not in the watch manual. I bought this watch to yacht race with and it has been the biggest disappointment I have ever had.
A GPS not showing ETA or ETE is not worth having. We use both of those functions with racing our boat and it is important for us to know the time left to get to the next mark ETE. Crusing we use ETA to tell folks when to meet us or pick us up after a delivery. Friends on my boat had pruchased the Fortrex 401 for 200 buck and while it is very ugly, it does show ETA and ETE.
Additionally for a smart watch it is rather dumb. It will show you that you have received mail but will not let you retrieve it. Text will appear on your watch but you do not have the option to scroll to read a long text. The weather function does not up date but every 4 hours. This watch is a major disappointment especially for a 600 dollar watch.
I have had it about 2 months so I do not believe I can return it.
Do Not Buy This Watch. Worst 600 buck I have ever spent.
