I just returned a Fenix 6s Sapphire Pro, because no matter how many times I entered my wifi details in Garmin Express (the Windows PC app), they would not stay stored on the watch.
I tried several different networks, dumbing down my wifi to only use 2003-era 802.11 b & g technology. I could see from my router management software that the watch wasn't even trying to connect.
I even spent a day with a Garmin support agent on chat. They couldn't fix it either.
One thing I wasn't able to try was setting up wifi using Garmin Connect (their mobile app) since my phone isn't compatible with that app.
So, my reason for posting is, has anyone been able to sucessfully sey up wifi on any Fenix 6 *using Garmin Express*.
Just trying to work out if the watch was broken, or Garmin Express. As GE did seem very buggy, and for example kept prompting me to re-enter my Garmin account details. I could see that the IN.BIN file that should store the wifi details was being created in the Garmin > Wifi folder on the watch, but that file was gone by the next time I connected the watch to my PC using the dongle. A lot of other users have reported the same problem.
