How to fix Music and Playlists Properly?

Dear Garmin,

You have Garmin Express to synchro music on your watch.

That is not working since the first release, you know that.

You can try synchronize using Windows Media Player, uploading usually works, however deleting playlists don't work.

Removing manually using windows explorer from fenix folder neither.

Why need customers to fire similar kind of messages?

Isn't it time to replace your current developer(s)?? and that those bugs are fixed soonest and for ever.

I paid a lot of money extra to have music and playlists properly stored on my watch.

After 1 year experience, I can't recommend Garmin Fenix 6 x pro, music features are a pain in the ass and bugs are not solved.

Regards,

Paul.

  • I had the Fenix 6s Pro since February, I made sure to add the extra $100 to get Music on it, so that I won't need my phone on me when I go running or cycling.

I used to like the watch and all the features it has got, and even recommended it to everyone.

6 weeks ago, The Music stopped working at all, although the bluetooth connects properly!

I even don't see the music icon anymore!! (see the photos attached),

I have thought it was something with the watch, deleted all the music and retransferred them back to the watch, still nothing works.

I thought it might be a Software bug, and thought to wait for an upcoming update that could fix it soon.

But the issue still persists and I'm unable to listen to any music on my watch (THE MAIN FEATURE I WANTED ON MY WRIST!)

Now I have been checking online for a week and still can't find anything with similar issue!

I'll try raising a ticket to the support team, but I don't really have a good feeling about this at all.

I started really to hate the watch & Garmin, And I see many many users already having lots of complaints out there about many features not working properly!
    I'm just really sad.

  • I listen to podcasts, not music, but I'd bet it's the same problems, except the first one I mention below.

I'm on the OS X side of the house and Garmin Express, kind of, works.  However, podcasts come in with 4-digit codes (87E3) for example.  Playlists won't update, then magically it will, eventually, even if the playlist has changed in the Podcast app, Garmin Express only picks up whatever it gets locked in memory.  I've had played podcasts stay in the list  forever, no idea why.

Garmin Express needs work, but, unfortunately, it's still better than Spotify.  Although, something like Overcast and the way it works on the Apple Watch would be a fantastic improvement.
