Garmin FenixX Pro Sapphire HR too high during Cardio Sessions

I have a Fenix 3 for 3 years and I loved it! I wast about upgrading to the Fenix 6 or to a Fitbit charge 4.

I bought the Fitbit charge first. The heart rate monitor was incredible the calorie measurement accuracy was really good. However, the GPS doesn't lock. I'm in the process of receiving a new one from Fitbit. I decided to upgrade my Fenix 3 anyway and I just purchased the Fenix 6X Pro Saffire.

I've been really enjoying the watch. However, the heart rate monitor accuracy is the worst!  I upgraded to the 9.00 firmware and it still doesn't work.

At rest, the heart rate monitor works perfectly, since I know what my resting heart rate is. It's also good to monitor daily activities. As soon as I start an exercise the heart rate jumps incredibly high and stays there and never returns back down to baseline.

I know this for a fact because I attached a chest strapped I measured the same exercise using my Fenix 3 and I measured my own pulse to verify the measurements of these sensors.

Based on my own measurements the chest strap is on point and the Fenix 6 Heart  rate monitor is not even close, a difference of 40-50 beats per minute.  As a result the number of calorie Burned is off and I'm burning more calories using the Fenix 6 because of the heart monitor is not functioning.

Respectfully, I cannot believe a company would sell a watch for $700 and not have a heart rate monitor that works properly. The Fitbit which was only a $150 heart monitor worked perfectly!

I was wondering if anyone still has problems with their Fenix 6 firmware 9.0?

Your help is greatly appreciated!

Best regards,
