Serious bug with bluetooth headphones and volume going to its maximum level

I bought Garmin Fenix 6 pro and I'm trying is it worth the money. It doesn't unfortunately surprise me, but I already found some serious bug that made my ears ring. I'm using the latest firmware.

I have connected true wireless JBL headphones to the watch and it has happened already twice that there are some connection dropouts and after that volume is suddenly at the maximum level. What the heck Garmin?? One can lose his/her hearing because of that.

My headphones are very loud and if I'm running a bike etc, I cannot react and take the headphones out of the ears quickly enough. My headphones don't have any volume control. Currently I cannot use music at all because I don't want to lose my hearing, if it happens again. This kind of issue shouldn't be ever possible. You should make sure that volume won't ever go to maximum level on its own. Do you Garmin test your stuff at all??? Just horrible!

Is it only me or has someone else also having this issue? It is pretty serious one as it can cause you permanent physical damage.

  • It is identical problem with:

    Xiaomi airdots pro 2

After connect or re-connect volume in headphone is set on maximum level, but indicator show other value (like half power of volume).

Maybe good solution for DEVELOPER would be set always volume level (from watch) after setting up connection?

  • Same problem with HUAWEI FreeBuds 4i and Fenix 6x

When connected then the volume is on maximum but it indicates only lowest volume. I already got a hearing damage from this one time --> tinnitus.  When its not getting better, i have probably to sue Garmin...
